1. Be prepared: Keep good records and ask others for ideas!
~Plan your calender for the season, and clear it with the administraton.
~Keep a notebook with new ideas, possible themes, and things that did not work so you won't try them again.
~Ask other cheer and danc coaches for ideas, ask parents for input.

2. Be organized:
~Make sure you have everything you need before the pep rally starts.
~Put an agenda together and make sure all the key people recieve one.
~Stick to your schedule.
~Ask the necessary people to participate in advance.

3. Good Pep Rallys should:
~Get your team fired up and ready to play.
~Honor other athletes' clubs' organizations' accomplishments.
~Create school and community unity.
(Don't end with class competitions)
~Teach good sportsmanship
~Prepare and inform the crowd about the game.

4. Pep Rallies Should Invovle:
~Student body
~Teachers & Staff
~Band & Auxiliary
~Other sports teams, clubs, organizations, etc.
~The community (distinguished guests, parents, friends, etc)
5. What to do at Pep Rallies
~ Traditional cheers/chants (crowd involvement is a must)
~Skits and spirit activities
~Sprit contest and competitiond (class vs..class, teachers vs...students, club vs...club)
~Introduction of players and coaches
~Keep crowd involved, don't bore them
~Short routines by school groups (drill team, dancers, cheerleaders, etc.)
6. Tips for Successful Pep Rallies:
~Be creative! Grab their attention with something out of the ordinary.
~Involve as many participants as possible. Remember that people will support something they helped create.
~Experiment with different kinds of rallies, again be creative.
~Make sure the M.C is exciting (how about the local D.J?
