| The bases can lift the flyer into a Prep. The bases then need to pop the flyer up and keep their hands in the air waiting for the flyer to come down. Bases, once the flyer is in the air turn and face the right by opening stance, your right foot first. Flyers, after you've been tossed in the air wait until you reach the top and arch your back. Arching is when the flyer is level in the air and they arch their back with their chin close to their chest. Flyers, as you fall back down, slightly pike yourself and turn your hips to the left toward the base. To pike yourself is when you body folds in half at the hips. Flyers, wrap your arms around the base's neck. Bases, reach up and catch the flyer with your left arm around their legs and your right arm should be around their back. Keep your back straight! The back base plays an important role in catching the flyer under their arms. The front spotter needs to turn quickly in order to catch the flyer's feet. Gently let the flyer down. |
