Glossary
The 3 Main parts to jumps are the Prep, the Lift and the Landing. The prep is the beggining of the jump that gives it height and grace. The lift is important becuase its what exxtends your arms andlegs into the right position and the landing completes the jump. And must be done properly, becuae a messy or awkward landing could ruin the effect of the jump.

~ The Prep ~
Your basic prep begins with your feet together, your weight focused through your toes, and arms in a High V motion. You then lift your body up through your shoulders and quickly swing your arms around in a circle, at bend at the knees to build up the lift.

~ The Lift ~
You should jump of the ground, pushing through your toes, when your arms reach the top of their swing. Once you are airborne, use your abdominal muscles to pull your legs up toward your arms. Hit your motion with your body upright, head up, toes pointed and smile! :)

~ The Landing ~
Bring your legs together quickly so your feet are together when you land. Also bend your knees slightly to take the pressure of your knees and ankles. If your feet arn't landing together, lower your jump and practise good form. As you practise your muscles will strengthen and you will be able to jump higher and have a good landing.

Toe Touch Tips
* Don't actually try to reach for your toes. In a great to touch your hands will usually reach the insides of your ankles.

* Your hands should hit a T motion.

Front Hurdler tips
* Kick your front leg as high as possible and bend your other leg back behind you.
* This jump is usually performed on a 45 degree angle from the crowd.

Side Hurdler tips
* Bring your front leg straight up, extending it to the side.Your Knee and shoelaces should be facing up. At the same time bend the other leg, bringing it upward until your whole thigh is level with the ground.
