| Well I wouldn't say I am the most skillful tumbler...actually i'm not even remotely good. I can do a back handspring and thats about it....lol. But I've only been tumbling this year...so hopefully i'll get better(yeah right) It's definatly a lot harder to learn anything when you get old...especially gymnastics...so get the little ones started early. Gymnastics has definatly been my weakness in cheerleading. And as most of you know tumbling is a crucial part to cheerleading. It's harder for some people to learn...especially if you retarded like me...lol..but the key is to not get fusterated. I know it's hard when girls are busting out fulls and what not...but the more fusterated you get the harder it'll be. Another thing, if you don't really want it...your not going to get it. You have to practice and focus..it's a lot of work. Streching and conditioning is great. If you arms aren't strong enough to support you...do push ups or lift weights. The most important thing is determination and dedication, if you want it badly...it might take a little time but you'll get it! Just keep at it and don't get discouraged! Practice makes perfect! |
