Kober's athleticism was not limited to the grid iron. His innate play making ability and long distance expertise earned him many accolades on the harwood. His inspiring performance against Valmeyer in the opening round of the 97' Tip-Off-Classic will not soon be forgotten.
In the spring of 98', Kober continued his success on the baseball field. As a starting pitcher, Kober baffled opponents with his slider and insighted fear with his fastball. Offensively, he was absolutely brilliant. To this day, his legend resonates in the hallways of Metro-East Lutheran High School.
