Thank you

Back in January I emailed and did a webpage asking for help with a "wish for my brother"(he was dying of cancer)....He was going to the Daytona 500, this was something he had always dreamed of doing and I wanted to see if I could arrange for him to meet his favorite driver "Dale Earnhardt". I had no idea where to even start looking.....so, I emailed any websites that had to do with Dale Earnhardt, plus all my online friends and family.

The Monday before the race I received tickets for my brother to go to a private party in honor of Dale Earnhardt and the Race Team. I couldn't believe we got them, he was thrilled and couldn't wait. My wish for him was coming true and he would meet Dale Earnhardt.....all thanx to the help from all of you!!!!!!!

His health was not good and he was told it would be a risk for him to go down there but he was determined to see this race and meet Dale. :) They left to go to this party, they drove from 5-10pm looking for the resort it was at but with no luck. So, unfortunately he didn't get to meet Dale afterall but it wasn't for his lack of trying. No matter how sick or bad things were for him......he did not give up or stop living.

The next day, Saturday, was one of the races, so off they went ......they got inside the gates and were on their way to their seats when he collapsed ......he passed away a short time later in the hospital. Although he didn't see the races or meet DE he went down there living out his one dream :)

On behalf of my brother, the late W. Anderson, his wife, our family, friends and myself, I would like to thank the following people for all their help, kindness, generousity and most of all support.

A very special "thank you" goes out to these terrific people. They sent tickets to me for my brother to a private party to be held for Dale Earnhardt and the Race Team. To have met Mr. Earnhardt would have been the topping on this wonderful trip to Daytona.
So from him, myself, and the family, we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. I just wish you knew how much all this meant to him and how he looked forward to going....you made my wish for my brother come true. A special thanks to Julie whom I corresponded with many many times throughout all this.... your support, kindness and caring meant the world to me. You are all the best!!!!!!
Also, in hindsight I would like to thank the people from D.E.I. and the "MAN" himself, Dale Earnhardt.... as I am sure they also had some say in this.

As I said, I sent emails to any site that had to do with Dale Earnhardt and this one was no acception. Although they could not help me with my wish, I met a very special lady from there, Veronica. She arranged to have a telephone sent to my brother and he got it during one of his short hospital stays....he LOVED it! She emailed me regularly with replies and inquiries, her kind words of support, her generousity, thoughtfulness and then words of sympathy will not be forgotten. I feel like I have made a new friend through a difficult situation.
Veronica is one of a kind :)

Thank you Henry!!.....this man was terrific to me, he sent out emails to contacts he had, was in touch with someone he knew that had to do with DE. Also all the replies to every little email I sent out.....and all the lovely things he said for support and condolences......I can't thank you enough Henry:))
