| LADY KILLERS! Watch out, those Blue boys are on the pull! Lock up yer mates! Lee The one with the killer lines! You�ve got a lotta fans, but how successful are ya wit da ladies? I don�t know really. It goes up and down. I don�t have a set routine, but I�m not scared to go up and talk to a girl. I don�t have a chat-up line �cause if she doesn�t want to talk, she won�t talk. Let us into yer pulling tricks�how do you make a move? Something like, �I�m sure I know you from somewhere,� is good to break the ice. Or approaching a girl and saying, �Joanne?� and she�ll say �No!� so you go through names �til you get it. She�ll either laugh or tell you where to go. Or I�m just straight with them - if they�re not interested, no problem! If a girl fancies you, how can she get your attention? She should just come over and have a chat. A lot of girls think I�m unapproachable �cause I�m in a band, which is a shame. Confidence is a really good quality and makes a girl attractive. And laydylike girls always get my attention. Sweetness is important. Any of them showered you with gifts? Planned romantic nights out for you? I�m not into material stuff. Sharing time with the girl you love is much more important than showering each other with gifts. It doesn�t matter what you�re doing, as long as you�re together. Do you strut yer body to help you pull the ladies? Oooh, I dunno. I really don�t like my body, and I definitely don�t think I�m good looking. When you go to clubs in London there area loads of good-looking blokes, like models. I feel like a bit of a minger! So have you got another secret weapon, Lee? It�s important to wear my jewellery. There�s my new ring, which I�m really pleased with. And my necklace is my lucky charm � I�ve had that for ages. How good a boyfriend would you say you are? I guess I�m pretty good. When you�re in a relationship it�s good to enjoy each other�s company and do nice things for each other. You�ve got to make the effort, haven�t you? And once a laydee�s in yer sights, do you give up easily? I�m not usually out to pull. If I meet a girl and she�s playing hard to get, I�m not really interested. I�m out to have a good time, not play games. If another boy�s after your girl would you fight �im? If my mates fancy my good-looking girlfriend, that�s cool. It�s flattering. But if she got it together with my mate while we were together, I�d really get the hump. Done anything to a girl that you regret? Everyone�s done stuff they regret. I�ve cheated on girls before, but not in serious relationships. Did she ever find out? �Course not! Duncan The one with the killer romance! If you like someone, Dunc, how d�ya let �em know? Um, I�d tell her mate. I say �Give me her number, I think she�s really fit!� And then, of course, her mate�ll tell her and if she�s interested she�ll flirt. I�ll text her, wait for the text back � sweet and I�m in there! (giggles) When was the last time you were chatted up? Erm, what day is it today? (looks over to Ant) What have we been doing this week? Oh Sweden, yeah, I got chatted up in Sweden. Just by some girls but there was one girl that was a bit older than the others. And we did a club in Cardiff last week and I got chatted up by about eight women � that was wicked. And if a girl fancies you how can she get ya drooling? I like flirtiness, a lot of eye contact, I love girls who can be fun and flirty. She�s got to be able to make me laugh � I�ve got a dirty mind so some people get shocked by things I say. I want a girl who�s not shocked by me. I just think it�s funny. And if a laydee gets the Dunc seal of approval, are you a smooth ol� romantic? I can be! When I was young I had a proper crush on this girl called Tracey for about four years. If I knew she was coming down the road I�d go into a shop to buy crisps and sweeties. And on Valentine�s Day I�d buy teddy bears with roses on them and write long love letters. Tell us something cheesy that one of Blue�s said to a girl! Lee�s quite cheesy but he doesn�t think he is � hee hee. He does things like he looks in their eyes and says �Have you got contact lenses? You�ve got beautiful eyes. They look like stars that have fallen out of the sky.� I just cringe! Have you Blue boys ever snogged the same girl? Yeah. We all did. We were playing spin the bottle with some girls one night in a hotel room. And it was funny � like, �You gotta snog her for two minutes, and you�ve gotta kiss in the bathroom for two minutes�� And it was the same girl who went round all four of us. Dirty, innit? How good a boyfriend would you say that you are? I�d be a good boyfriend. I�m loyal. And if I�m in love I won�t cheat. My mates do that, but if I love someone I�ll commit myself to them. I�ll shower �em with gifts too. The best presents are straight from the heart, not just a teddy or a box of chocs. Once my ex-girlfriend found a stone on a beach and wrote a little love message on it � I still have it, that was a nice gesture. How long does it take you to say the L word? Ooh, it�d have to mean it or else I wouldn�t say it. I wouldn�t wait for her to say it, but it�s a big word I don�t use lightly! Simon The one with the killer snoggin� power! The lads say you don�t chat up girls � are you cack at pulling? I�d only give myself maybe a four or a five out of ten. I never pull, I think it�s �cause when I�m around someone I fancy I just clam up. I can say hello to a girl I like, but I don�t know what to say after that. I put girls on pedestals and I can�t stand rejection. So should she try to pull you? Yeah. She�s just got to come up and say she fancies me. But I know that�s hard for people to do! I like a girl who�s the only one that stands out �cause of her smile. When was the last time a girl chatted you up? I don�t know�I supposed when I was on tour I�d get chatted up every night � but I rarely feel a connection with any of them. I guess it�s �cause I�m in the band now. It�s definitely made me more aware. Has being in Blue changed the type of girls you pull? Yeah! Now I�m pulling girls I never would have before. Girls I think are out of my league are starting to pay me attention �cause of who I am � it annoys me ab it. Have the laydeez done anything loopy to catch yer eye? Girls have taken their clothes off in front of me! Blimey! Ever had any saucy pressies from girls? Knickers and bras with their phone numbers on! But I never take them up on their offers. It�s all in good fun, but the type of girl I want is loud, fun and cheeky. OK, �fess up � how many girls have you gone out with at the same time? Eight! (laughs) When I was 17 eight girls thought I was their boyfriend. None of them ever knew! I was sly! I like women�s company. What�s your record number of snogs in a night? When I was 15 I was at a school party and I snogged 15 girls! I couldn�t believe it! If you meet a girl you really liked do you fall in love easily? I take things slowly. I�ve made mistakes in the past, thinking a girl wanted this or that and it�s been the opposite, so I�ve lost them. I go slower now to protect myself. Are you a real Mr. Dumper? Nah, I�m usually dumped �cause I don�t like hurting people. I got my heart broken about a year ago � I kept texting her but it didn�t work. She�s my best mate now but it still hurts if I see her with another guy. Will there ever be a Mrs Webbe? No, I can�t see myself married. If I had kids it�s be different � I would like to have a little Simon Jr! I�ll settle down when I�m 30ish but I need to be wild right now! Then again, if Tina S Club came along�! ANT The one with the killer eyes! Who�s the best ladykiller in Blue? Out of the four of us I think I�m the most confident at chatting girls up. I get my tips from Del Boy � I love using stupid lines to get a reaction � 80% of the time it works too. Girls like cheeky lads, not smarmy geezers. They say I�m cute �cause I have fun with them. When were you last out on the pull? I chatted a girl up about a month ago. I�d lost my touch �cause I�ve been so busy but it was successful! Did I get a kiss? Yeah, I got a snog! It must be easy to get girls to notice ya now yer in Blue? Now they know who we are it�s a bit weird. I was out recently and talking to these three girls. We were dancing and one of them started putting her bum near where I was standing. At first I was saying, �OK you�re a good dancer�. But then she started going over the top and I thought, �Calm down now, love.� How do you feel about pulling �cause you�re Ant from Blue? At first I didn�t mind, but now it bothers me, �cause they�re like �You�re him out of Blue!� I never had that before, so it�s strange. I think, �Do you like me �cause I�m Ant from Blue or �cause I�m nice?� I have used it to my advantage when I�ve been drunk though! What�s the worst chat-up line a girl�s used on you? �You look like that bloke from Blue!� I thought, �You�re just chatting to me �cause you know who I am.� I was like, �See ya!� What�s your snoggin� record? One night I snogged about 13 girls. That was after the Scary Movie 2 premiere � it was mad! How do you keep girls interested in ya? Um, by not giving too much away. One girl actually told me that the reason she was into me was �cause she couldn�t make me out. I think they like the intrigue. And if a relationship�s on the skids, are you a Dump-dude? Yeah, but it�s �cause I don�t want to get hurt. People think I�ve got more bounce than Zebedee but deep down I�ve got feelings too. I don�t want to commit � I�m scared. It�s hard to get properly involved with a girl right now to. Who knows? Maybe in 2003 it�l be all right� What do girls love aboutcha? Girls like my eyes and my bum � I�ve got puppy eyes. One girl said I have very dreamy eyes. A couple of girls have commented about my chest � I�m hairy so they think it�s manly � but I�m not keen on it. Have you ever done the dirty on a girl? Of course! But I got in trouble �cause the girl I got with knew my ex. Life wouldn�t be worth living if you didn�t two-time a girl! Rate Yer Mates! Lady killer, yeah, but who do the Blue lads reckon�s Prince Puller? Lee �Ant�s pretty good, he�s a bit of a geezer. I�m probably the shyest when it comes to girls. Simon and Dunc do OK, but they�re not as straight forwards as us.� Simon �Lee gets all the young girls, Ant gets the mothers, Dunc gets the 16-plus ladies and I get, erm, well I get a bit. I�m cool, I�m pretty happy really! Really, I am!� Ant �I�m the one who does the ground work! Lee�s second best at getting girls but he�ll say stuff like �You�re fit, do you want to for out for a drink!� I�d give Dunc and Si 7 out of 10. Si doesn�t really need to pull, though.� Dunc �I go for the shy approach. Lee�s the up-front one, Antony gives them chat, and Simon�s very smooth and slick. He�s the best!� Close to Blue �Tis bigger! �Tis better! �Tis even Bluer! Hurrah! When Blue spill their secrets, CD:UK is the only place they�ll scribble �em. Yee-hah! This month Duncan�s Diary! Hi Guys! We came back all rested from our New Year breaks, and we�re straight back into the full-on craziness that is Blue! It was Germany yesterday, and I�m in Italy right now. We�re off on our first trip to Asia next week, which I�m really excited about. It�s gonna be really hot there, but I doubt we�ll get much time to op up our tans! We�re so lucky to be able to travel and experience different cultures. I just think it�s gonna be so different to how we live our lives in the western world. Like, in Bangkok markets they have live chickens � you just pick the one you want and they kill it in front of you! You�d never see that at home! We�re off to Singapore too, which is insanely clean and they have really strict laws. We�ve been told we can�t wear blue denim, chew gum or show any bare skin when we arrive! Travelling is a big perk of this job, but you don�t� end up seeing much more than hotel rooms and TV studios. It�s lovely to go away, but the more you do, the more you appreciate being at home. I�m looking forward to being back in the UK, promoting our new single Fly By. We just finished filming the cid for it the other day. We were meant to be shooting it in Miami, but that got cancelled so we did it at home. It�s quite different to our other videos. There�s much more of a storyline going on of us getting in the car and doing things. There�s a few girls dancing in it, but we didn�t get a cuddle with �em! Oh, we�ve also been recording in Denmark, recording the second album, which I�m so excited about. I reckon it�s gonna be much better than All Rise. It�s got more R�n�B runes and influences on it and the production sounds more American. We�ve written some wicked tracks already � I can�t wait to get them recorded! Hope you�re all enjoying yourselves and see you soon! Duncan Lads in love! You�ve probably hear the rumours, and they�ve probably broken your heart. Yup, Lee and Liz Kitten are an item, and we�re dead chuffed for �em �cause they both seem v. happy. �It�s hard because you don� want the fans to be upset,� says Dunc. �But you just can�t stop people becoming close. Just because Lee�s with Liz, it doesn�t mean that he loves the fans less.� And what about the rumours about Dunc and Marie from *Ateens? �We met last year and we got on really, really well. There is a little spark between us, but I�m busy here and she�s busy in Sweden and America. We�re just friends because it�s so hard to get serious with this job, I get on well with her, but there�s no secret!� Secret of the month! �As a kid, I couldn�t sleep unless Gran read me a story. I�ve still got the Beatrix Potter books she read to me, but I drew all over them and ruined them � you don�t realize what you�re doing when you�re young. I looked through them the other day and it brought back loads of memories.� -Dunc Back to school! We did a gig at Ladymead Community School in Taunton in aid of The Sun�s Change For Kids campaign. It was cool, and it was good to meet Amy Saunders who won the competition for her school. We�re really glad we can do things for charity and give something back. A date in Dublin! �We had a great laugh doing Childline�s gig in Dublin. We performed a new version of the song, Fly By, with a new rap in it. Nicky Westlife and Kerry McFadden hosted the show, so it was good to catch up with them, as well as a1, S Club 7 and Hear�Say. Not only that, but we managed to raise over 9000 pounds for charity, Hurrah!� Simon�s snake! What�s this we see? Why, it�s another tattoo adorning Simon! But what�s this one all about? �It�s a snake. It starts on the left side of my body, and it come out on my right shoulder. I had it done while I was in Cancun in Mexico at Christmas. Was it painful? Yah, it really hurt!� says Si. Cripes! How Blue are YOU? What�d you do to meet Blue? Fans in Denmark were so desperate to get close to the lads when they performed on a TV show that they painted themselves blue from head to toe! �It was pretty freaky to see,� laught Ant. �I can�t believe people pit all that time and effort into meeting us!
