Cornerstone Home Educators (CHE)

CONSTITUTION
2-3-03

Article I    Name and Location

The name of the organization is Cornerstone Home Educators (CHE) and is
located in Lake County, Florida.

Article II    Purpose

The purpose of CHE is to encourage member families to grow and thrive in
their respective homeschool environments and to facilitate their success by
providing mutual encouragement, information and support, while upholding the
biblical principles on which the organization is founded.

Article III    Statement of Faith

1. We believe the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, is the only
inspired, inerrant, and infallible written word of God and constitutes His
complete and final revelation to man. It is the supreme and final authority
in faith and life. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21)

2. We believe that there is one living and true God: an infinite,
intelligent Spirit, perfect in all His attributes, one in essence but
eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Isaiah
48:16, Matthew 3:16)

3. We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been
conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.  He died on a
cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for sin. He arose bodily from the dead
and ascended into heaven, where He sits at the right hand of God the Father
as our interceding High Priest and Advocate. He will return again
personally, visibly, and in great glory. (Luke 1:31-35, John 10:28-30,
Colossians 1:13-17, Hebrews 7:25, Hebrews 9:12, Matthew 24:29-31, Acts
1:10-11, Revelation 19:11-16)

4. We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord
Jesus Christ; convict the world of sin; regenerate, indwell, baptize and
seal all believers at the moment of their salvation; and guide, teach, gift
and empower the believer for godly living and service. (John 14:26,16:7-14;
Titus 3:5; Rom. 8:1-17; Eph. 1:13, 3:16-20, 4:30; 1 John 2:27; 1 Cor.
12:4-13; Acts 1:8; 2 Tim. 1:7; 2 Pet. 1:3)

5. We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin
through the disobedience of Adam and is therefore lost and unable to justify
himself before God. (Genesis 1:27, Romans 3:10-12,23, Romans 5:12)

6. We believe that the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ and His
resurrection provide the only grounds of justification and salvation for all
who believe. Salvation is a free gift of God brought to man by grace and
only those who receive Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior become
children of God and will inherit eternal life. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans
6:23, Titus 3:5-7)

7. We believe in the resurrection of the dead: the just to eternal life and
the unjust to eternal condemnation. (Daniel 12:2, John 5:28-29, Matt. 25:46)
