Within this group I am an active member of the Kingdom known as Atlantia which is located in the new world area better known as North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland and part of Georgia. I reside in the barony of Windmaster's Hill. (central NC) and specifically the Canton of Attilium (Fayetteville/Ft Bragg/Pope AFB). And I also have a home where I work in the Stronghold of Raven's Cove (Camp Lejeune/Jacksonville, NC).
We have fun recreating the best parts of the Middle Ages. The household that I belong to is a collective of households referred to as The Mooselodge. We are predominently a service oriented, fighting household with many whose skills include all manners of Arts and Sciences.
I received the accolade of a peerage within the society as a Pelican - an award for service rendered to the Society as awhole over a length of time, on 16 Aug 2001. Prior to that, I was in fealty to his Grace, Duke Anton Tremayne since May, 1992.
I am a heavy weapons fighter, as well as a creator of Heraldic Displays such as banners, war standards, painting shields, heraldic garb, etc. I stay pretty busy! I also dabble in creating scrolls, being a scribe of the Windmaster's Hill Scriptorium. As if that isn't enough, I am also a field herald as well as the Clerk of Precedence for Atlantia...
In addition to all that, I am also a single mother of two who are set on driving me crazy! Lady Gwendolyn Tremayne (aka Jessica) is my eldest. She loves the SCA and became a squire herself to one of my squire brothers, Duke Ragnarr Blackhammer.
My son, Richard, who is known by his nickname, Sid, is not overly enamored with the SCA. He is usually practicing his guitar, playing Halo,listening to music, or working. Seeing him at events is a pretty rare occurance.
