ASHLEY'S STAR

Have you heard about the STAR TATTOO??..

It is a WOMEN ONLY comraderie,friendship thing...A person can only be ASKED to get one, by someone who already has one...

It is to be a five point open star,(not filled in) done in blue ink, and tattoo'd behind the right ear...and in turn, each person asks FIVE more women to get one..(one for each point of the star!)

The participants are to be women who have made a difference to you in your life..Some you can have known since childhood, some perhaps recent..There is no hurry, you can take a life time to fill your 'points'...

If your recipient doesn't want to get one , (some people are adverse to tattoo's)..then thats ok, you are not to feel slighted, just ask someone else...

A friend asked Ash to get a star about a year before she passed...and she in turn filled her five points with some friends, and her Mum and her boyfriend, Tal's Mum as well....Ashley filled hers very quickly, not because she didn't think she would survive, she was always very optomistic about that, but because she always had so many friends around her..

In turn, her Mum (my sister) asked me, and so I also have "Ashleys Star" as we have come to call it...and I have also filled a couple of my 'points' with friends...

So if some one asks you to get a star tattoo, remember it is an honour, that they must regard you highly,that you are an imprtant part of their life,..and then spare a thought for "Ashleys Star".
