The Muslim terrorists kidnapped literally thousands of people over the past decade. And no this does not include captured Russian soldiers in the statistics, only civilians, mostly foreigners. Where are they all now? NOBODY was ever let free by the rebels. A lot of people are still missing. Some escaped and some were freed by the Russian soldiers after finding them. The best thing to do is pretend to be interested in their work, start reading the Koran in front of them, this may not work because the rebels have no heart at all, I mean if they can torture an 88 year old man they will not hesitate to get you either.
Now as far as soldiers lives are concerned, when Russian soldiers are accidentally captured by the Muslims, they do not become just regular prisoners of war, they face the worse thing ever possible to man. They are kept tied up for days and days. Then they are tortured severely. Their nose get cut off, both ears removed, eyes popped out with sticks, and have their bellies open and if they are still alive, the rebels leave them on the road to die. But if the soldiers get lucky, the Muslims could just cut their throats, a lot of soldiers' throats already got slit in a slow manner, its slow but it is much better then the first way I described. The commander of each Russian unit tells the soldiers that if in any case you fear you might be captured by the rebels.....immediately shoot yourself in the head.
