The Cheetah is a fictional character in the Wonder Woman stories published by
DC Comics.

In the Pre-Crisis version of the character, the Cheetah was a human woman who
wore a cheetah pelt-patterned catsuit. The first woman to wear the costume, in
Wonder Woman #6 (October 1943), was Priscilla Rich, a 1940s-era Washington, D.C.
blonde debutante who suffered from a split personality. After being eclipsed by
Wonder Woman at a charity event, Priscilla retreated to her room and collapsed
before her makeup mirror. There she saw an image of a woman dressed like a
cheetah. "Horrors!" she cried, as she gazed at her evil inner self for the first
time. "Don't you know me?" replied the reflection. "I am the REAL you — the
Cheetah — a treacherous, relentless huntress!" The image commanded her to
fashion a Cheetah costume. "From now on, intoned the reflection, "when I command
you, you shall go forth dressed like your TRUE self and do as I command you..."
Priscilla had several run-ins with Wonder Woman before retiring to her North
Shore Maryland mansion. In Wonder Woman # 274 (Dec. 1980), the villain Kobra
attempted to recruit the villainess for his organization. His operative found
the reclusive Priscilla an invalid. However, Priscilla's niece Deborah Domaine
had come at her bidding and the operative stayed to observe. Before Priscilla
could unburden her alter ego as the Cheetah, she died. The operative returned
Deborah and the Cheetah costume to Kobra's headquarters, where he questioned her
"You didn't know about your aunt's secret life, did you? Well, you'll learn —
Since we couldn't have the original, we decided to make do with a recreation.
You shall be that recreation, Ms. Domaine."
Kobra brainwashed Debbie and provided her with an updated version of the Cheetah
costume. The original suit included a cat-earred cowl and clawed, flat-soled
boots. Debbie's version had an V-neck, slit to the sternum, a headband with
cat-ears (concealed for the most part beneath her long, brown hair), and
four-inch heeled boots. Both costumes included razor-sharp chrome steel nails,
painted bright red. "You are my servant, and I, your master. You are the
Cheetah!" he cried, "And you will fill the world with terror!" Debbie also had
several conflicts with Wonder Woman, before dying in the pages of Crisis on
Infinite Earths (1986).
The current Cheetah is anthropologist Barbara Minerva. She had searched out a
tribe in Africa who utilized a female guardian with the powers of a cheetah. She
and her party killed the guardian, then Barbara took her place. Instead of a
costumed woman, this Cheetah is a cat-human hybrid with her own pelt, tail,
pointed ears, and fang-like canines.
Cheetah was voiced by Marlene Aragon in Super Friends. She was voiced by Sheryl
Lee Ralph in Cartoon Network's Justice League animated series. For the animated
series, Cheetah's origin was modified. Barbara Minerva was a biologist who
spliced cheetah genes into her own

Pre-Crisis
A wealthy young socialite Priscilla Rich suffered from an overwhelming
inferiority complex. Organizing a charity benefit Rich became insanely jealous
when as the host she lost attention to Wonder Woman. After a surreptitious
attempt to murder Wonder Woman, Rich returned home to find her evil persona
confronting her in a mirror. Rich's alter ego explained that she was her true
self - a treacherous, relentless huntress. Crafting a costume in the form of a
predatory cat she became the Cheetah.
The niece of Priscilla Rich, Debbi Domaine had feelings of guilt about her
wealth and privilege which lead her to join extreme ecological groups. Summoned
to her aunt's deathbed Rich died before she could reveal her criminal secret to
her niece. Recoiled by the sight of her dead aunt Domaine staggered and was
knocked unconscious.
Domaine awoke to find herself in the hidden headquarters of the cult leader
Kobra. He explained his intent to recruit the Cheetah, but now that she was dead
he would have to make a re-creation. Exposing Domaine to mental conditioning and
shock therapy Kobra created the hopelessly insane Cheetah.
Post-Crisis
Renowned archeologist and treasure hunter Barbara Minerva sought proof of the
existence of a tribe of feline humanoids in South America. In her search she
came upon the temple of Urzkartaga and a strange and rare blood-drinking plant
tied to the legend of the cat-people. Added by a local mystic Minerva used the
herb to perform a ceremony that transformed her into a ferocious Cheetah.
Eventually a new heir to the power of Urzkartaga would arise, Sebastian
Ballesteros, an agent of the Amazons' old enemy Circe. Feeding the mystic plant
a blood sacrifice and partaking in the herbal potion he would become an even
more powerful Cheetah.
Super-villain and foe of Wonder Woman. Originally debutante Priscilla Rich,
she became insanely jealous of Wonder Woman and developed an evil new persona-
the Cheetah. She battled the superhero on a number of occasions, until Wonder
Woman finally took her to the Amazonian Reform Island, where the scientists
present attempted to cure her schizophrenia. She was a member of Villainy, Inc.
She eventually died a peaceful death decades later, despite her criminal career.
(The original Cheetah ceased to exist after the Crisis on Infinite Earths, but a
version of her may exist in a Earth-2-derived hypertimeline.)
Super-villain and inheritor of the legacy of her aunt, the original Cheetah.
Deborah Domaine was wracked with guilt over her inherited wealth, and tried to
make amends by working for extremist ecological causes. Upon the death of her
aunt, she was kidnapped by Earth-1 villain Kobra, who used a combination of
brainwashing and torture to turn Domaine into the insane defender of the
environment- the Cheetah. The new Cheetah was armed with better weaponry than
her predecessor, and battled Wonder Woman at Kobra's behest, only to be
defeated. She later joined the Secret Society of Super-Villains. The second
Cheetah was incarcerated in Arkham Asylum, but returned with other villains to
conquer Earth-4, Earth-S, and Earth-X during the Crisis on Infinite Earths.
(After the Crisis ended, the second Cheetah also faded out of existence. Like
her aunt, she too likely exists somewhere in hypertime.)
(I would like to state that the information I have is inspecific as to what
Earth's Wonder Woman the second Cheetah fought, but I'm taking a guess based on
the fact that the Earth-1 version is pictured, and Kobra was the enemy of the
Earth-1 version. If anyone could clarify this, that'd be great.)
Formerly the rather mercenary archaeologist Barbara Ann Minerva, the Cheetah was
transformed into a feline humanoid by an elixir given to her by an African
witch-doctor who was the last member of his tribe. Unfortunately for her-
probably because she was not the special guardian normally chosen to receive the
elixir- she eventually was reduced to a state where she could only be healthy as
the Cheetah, for her normal form became weak and helpless.
After many clashes with Wonder Woman, the two seemed to reach a sort of peace,
until she sold her soul to the demon Neron for more power. She initially only
seemed to gain greater speed, agility, and skill, and she no longer reverted to
human form. However, all deals with the devil have a catch, and she became
increasingly more feral and animalistic, until she transformed into a savage
cat-beast with no trace of humanity.
More recently, her powers were stolen by the new Cheetah. Regaining her
intellect, she began plotting her revenge. Updates needed.
Alias Sébastian Ballesteros, head of the Ballesteros Corporation and a dangerous
corporate raider. He stole the powers of the previous Cheetah, Barbara Ann
Minerva, using a blood-letting rite to Urzkartaga, the African god who was the
source of her might. He has since allied with Wonder Woman's foe Circe, becoming
her lover, and together they created the new Silver Swan
Super-villain, member of the Legion of Doom, and sworn foe of Wonder Woman. Identical in appearance and personality to the original Cheetah
Female scientist who mutated herself into a cheetah-woman and took up a life of crime to support herself. She hired onto Lex Luthor's Injustice League, during which she developed an attraction to Batman. Suspected of helping him contact the Justice League, her teammates turned on her and drove her off.
AKA Brittany Elin Diggers, who is a Were-Cheetah. She has three forms- human, cat, and a combination of the two which she prefers, since it gives her accelerated speed, strength, healing abilities, and a more impressive figure. Her clan was massacred by Brendan the Were-Wolf when she was a baby. She was found and adopted by Doctor Theodore Diggers. Doctor Diggers and his wife, Julia, raised Brittany as their own daughter along with Gina. When she was a teen, she took up being a superhero as a hobby, and took the name Cheetah. She has stopped playing a superhero, but the nickname has stuck. She travels with Gina on archaeological expeditions to provide extra muscle, and to feel like she pulls her own weight rather than being a leech on Gina's credit card. She loves shopping, tuna, and her husband, Stripe.
