The real problem in the world would be when humans start thinking like computers. As of now Computers have not been able to match the power of Human brain. The brain can think non-linearly, parallely and process huge amount of data quickly. But the most important charterestic of brain is that of adaptability. No computer can match the speed and accuracy of human brain in absorbing,learning and adapting to the environment. Thats why human brain has always the object of imitation in research for Artifical Intellegence.
I have a great love for computers, tough honestly I am not too enthusiased to sit in front of a dumb monitor. What I love is thinking and planning logically to implement a problem in computer. We have to remember that computer only does what it is being programmed to. So we are the masters. A good program can make the computer do wonders and to an alien to programming it might be the next thing to divine.
During my freshman days, I had mixed experiences with computers. Suddenly, I was drawn into an intricate web of computing where everything seemed very abstract. The subjects were not difficult but I didn�t know where to start applying them. I spent the first one and a half year mastering all the underlying theoretical concepts, which helped me develop an understanding and an incisive approach desired of a computer professional .I have scored very well in the university examinations with an overall rank of 2nd in class. This has boosted my confidence and I am totally prepared for the challenges that are in store. To keep abreast with the changing technology, I felt there was a need for information that was not available in books. I found IEEE & ACM journals to be limitless repositories of information.
I have always strived to improve myself into such a groove where I can program any problem into computer code and have devoleped a line of thinking that as long as you know what do to you can make computer do it.
�Efficiency is the capability to put proficiency into expression�.
My research intrests are into programming espically Network side where the challange of the dynamism and a large number of users if daunting. My project in undergradate was that of devoleping a real time streaming player based on RTSP protocol. I learned a great deal during that project and have focoussed my self into the vast area of networks.
