>* My Poem *<
(PART ONE)
Thunder clashes
Hatred lashes
A child cries out
Lightning flashes
Water splashes
The child runs
The wind slashes
The forest crashes
Outside, the child’s innocent blood splatters the dirt
These storms are like permanent rashes
Suicidal thoughts she stashes
Inside, pain, misery, loneliness, and lies scar her, bind her; inside trapping her
Broken wings and wishes
Brittle, neglected, beaten, she trashes
Satan himself sings the child lullabies
From the child a scarlet stream rushes
All hopes, thoughts, dreams, turn to ashes
Bloody, beaten, bruised, and torn still, she keeps running hair dyed red from thick crimson brine
Lightning flashes
Thunder clashes
Still, the child runs
The wind slashes
The forest crashes
She can run no more; she collapses
She looks up to see a blood red sky
Black rain is falling
She longs to hear death calling
Blue lightning strikes the ground around her
Starts a raging fire ablaze
The flames grow; she watches them ruthlessly
This prisoner of life
Of hell
Of fear
Of torture
Of pain
Of abuse
Of abandonment
Of lies
Of scars
Of tears
Of nightmares that even the sun couldn’t kill
Of innocence twisted around to spell out ‘guilt’
Of youth
Of never-ending confusion
Of shame
Of death
Of life
Of the shittest mother in America< or at least Texas and part of Missouri >
GOD had finally offered the child a way out…
This prisoner of all these things and more
Trapped inside herself with no way out
Trapped inside screaming with all her might
People pass her by
She screams out at them
They keep walking on by
No one hears her taciturn pleas and desperate cries for help
This deprived and pitifully innocent of a life long war raging within and around her…
She no longer cares….
My War Ends Here….
The lone warrior/prisoner thought
Oh, what rush she got
From the fusion sadness and happiness brought…
