BBG Folds
Truly there are only six folds of BBG, but MBA has become an honorary fold because of how valuable it is to BBG.
The Jewish Heritage fold covers the totality of Jewish life.  The fold includes all aspects of Judaism from the different practices of Judaism to education about Israel.
The fold of Jewish Heritage consists of programs which deal with Jewish experiences of the past, present, and future, holidays, culture, practices, the State of Israel and any other Jewish Subject matter. We are a JEWISH youth group and JEWISH HERITAGE is what ties us all together. PS- Having a Havdallah Service before a program DOESN"T make it a Jewish Heritage Program.
Recreation programs are always very popular. They are easy to combine with other folds, making the program more enjoyable and original. The Recreation fold also helps build teamwork. Recreation programs range from sports tournaments, to hay rides, to dances, to apple picking, to sledding, to a progressive dinner, to a relaxation night.
BBG chapters are among the most active organizations in both the general and Jewish communities. In the 1990's, community service has played an increasingly greater role in BBYO's programming. BBYO in Israel (Noar LeNoar) is based primarily on community service. Community Service programs can include anything from indirect service by raising money for charities, to direct service, such as volunteering at a soup kitchen, blood drive, elderly home, or orphanage, to tutoring mentally challenged children, or passing out bag lunches to the homeless. Although one-time community service events are helpful, on-going community service is highly encouraged so that we can make a more significant impression on ourselves and others. The BBYO TASC - Teens Actively Serving Communities - program, discussed later in this manual, provides direction and funding for such projects.
MBA isnt actually fold, its a program thrust that is part of the Recreation Fold.  The MBA thrust was created to heighten the awareness of all BBGs regarding the benefits of a healthy, physically active lifestyle.  MBA is designed to promote mental and physical health as well as to encourage BBGs to respect their bodies and  themselves.  Programs that are planned around MBA benefit BBGS as women in our society. MBA stresses planning mind, body, and attitude programs that effects us as Jewish women. MBA also touches on the concerns that we, as women, face!  The programs can encompass any of the ideas of empowering or educating about "Mind, Body and Attitude".
BBG also recognizes our obligation to society. The Social Action fold enables us to educate our members, voice our concerns, and take action. Social Action programs can include anything from sponsoring a "get-out-the vote" campaign, to doing an AIDS awareness program, to creating petitions to send to political leaders, to having a speaker on date rape. The ACT Network, which is discussed later in this manuaI3 serves as a more organized forum for social action by the B'nai B'rith Girls.
Sisterhood is more than just a fold. It is the essence of B'nai B'rith Girls. The sisterhood fold provides B'nai B'rith Girls with the opportunity to deal with issues that affect their development into Jewish women. It also provides an opportunity to understand our role in Jewish society as Jewish teens. This fold addresses issues such as women's identity, interpersonal relationships, social roles, health issues, and our role in Judaism. Sisterhood events are any BBG Ceremony, such as MIT Inductions or Installations, trust games, sleepovers, photo scavenger hunts, or building time capsules as well as discussions and workshops on the above mentioned issues. BBGs can express their dedication and enthusiasm for our Order through simultaneous programs, sisterhood weekends, and other Programs which contribute to our unity and spirit.
In the Creativity fold anything goes! This fold creates the opportunity for members to discover and maximize their abilities and talents through imaginative programs that encourage members to express themselves in new ways. Creativity programs can include fashion shows (you can even display clothes designed by Chapter members!), drama games, pizza-making parties, jewelry-making, or painting a mural.
