Television

Thailand has six VHF television channels (3, 5, 7, 9, 11, iTV) based in Bangkok, with programs mainly in Thai language.

Satellite & Cable TV

The only cable TV operator in Thailand is UBC (merger of two companies, UTV and IBC), available via CaTV, MMDS and DTH systems and has about 25 channels all told including HBO and Cinemax, MTV asia, Channel V, CNN, ESPN, CNBC, NHK, BBC, the Discovery Channel and all the standard Thai networks.

Radio

Thailand has more than 400 radio stations, with 41FM and 35 AM stations in Bangkok. Some offer English language programming with native English-speaking DJs. The national public radio station is Radio Thailand, broadcast in English language on FM 97. Popular radio stations include 90.5 FM for Thai and English news programs, 95.5 FMX for international popular music with English-speaking DJs, 105 FM for easy-listening music and English news programs, and 107 FM broadcasts CNN news almost every hour between 5 pm - 2 am, and some good music programmes with British, Thai, and American DJs.

Newspaper

There are two major English-language newspapers are published daily in Thailand - The Bangkok Post in the morning and The Nation in the afternoon.

Magazine

Many popular magazine from the UK, USA , Australia, and Europe , are available in bookshops.
