| IRC TIPS and HINTS These are shortcuts and hints to help make your IRC chat easier and faster.... To type an action... such as...� Daisy grabs his hat and runs. simply type this into the chat line.... /me grabs his hat and runs. typing /me then an action will do this. To speed up greeting someone or using their nickname in a line of text.� Type the first character of their nickname and hit the TAB key...� the rest of the nick will be filled in automatically. So for the nickname Daisy type this: D and the hit the TAB key and it will put Daisy in your sentance. |
| To Load Popups Search for popups for mIRC by typing "mIRC popups" into yahoo or another search engine.� Find popup files that end in the extension�� .mrc.� Download them.. double click them to see if they appear to be something you would like and if they are... copy the file over to your C:/Mirc��� file...� once pasted inside the folder...� load or start the mIRC and type this into the line /load -rs filename.mrc hit the enter key Once loaded..highlight a nickname and right click ...find the file and select one.. and Let it GO!!!! |
| MEMOSERV When you log onto IRC are� you getting a message from MEMOSERV well here are the lines to type to read them..... To view the Memos- type this line /MemoServ LIST To Read a memo- type this line /ms read 1 ��� or if there are more than one type�� /ms read 2 To Send a memo to someone- type this line /ms send Daisy and then type your message right after that To Delete a Memo- after reading a Memo and want to delete it? Then type this line.... /ms del 1 ��� or the number of the one you want deleted. |
| To Join a Chatroom or make a temp room- type this line /join ##1_30+_Chat or the exact name of the room you wish to join or create! Sending a PRIVATE message without opening a private chatroom- type this using the person's exact NICKNAME and your text after that... /notice Daisy How are you girl? To Open a PRIVATE Chat Window- Double click that person's nickname. To Change Your NICK- Type this line ... if Daisy wants to add brb to her nick while she is away...she would type this... /nick Daisy_brb TEXT COLOR In mIRC you can add colors to your text by hitting the Ctrl key and the 'K' key at the same time.. choose a color and then type.. |
