One day when I was in elementary school, I was jumping rope down in our circle. All of a sudden, my left leg seemed to give out, underneath me. Later, I found out that I had a cyst in my left Tibia bone. After that incident, I had 2 different operations, and 2 different casts. My first cast was white, and the 2nd was hot pink. That was just the beginning of my bad luck.During my last few years of high school, I was very tired. Physically tired, that is. I slept in a lot of my classes, and I seemed to have little energy. M was worried that I might have mono (mononucleoses), so she made me go to the doctors. While we were there, they drew blood- I HATED THAT!! I DO NOT LIKE NEEDLES. I cannot stress that enough! Anyways, when they finally got the results back from the blood test, I got lucky- I tested negative for mono. I did, however, test positive for anemia. So, now that we've found out that I'm slightly anemic, I have to take multivitamin pills w/ iron every morning. I also have to try to eat more dark green lettuce, and stuff like that. blech. *makes face*
More recently, during my freshman year at college, I discovered a lump in my right breast. I had a biopsy done and they thought it was benign, but to to the size (a golf ball) they wanted to remove it anyways. I had surgery over my break during my Freshman year and they removed it. Wasn't that such a fun way to spend my break? *wryly* Anyways, I still bare the scar to prove it.
On January 4, 2002, I got all four of my wisdom teeth taken out. OUCH!! For a couple of weeks afterwards, it twinged when I open my mouth all the way, and my bottom lip was still somewhat numb with occasional tingles. Now, it's back to normal, luckily.
Hey- I'm feeling pretty good right now! A bit tired every now and then, but I don't think it's the anemia. It's probably because of not enough sleep and too much activity! I'm gonna try to ease up on the activity, and get more sleep. :-) Present and Future Health
Bah! I just recently got new medicine for my allergies- Allegra. Also got new migraine medicine- Axert.
12/3- I'm cold, and I've had a cold for the past few weeks. I'm tired of coughing and of my nose being stuffed up. grr argh!
12/31/02- I just got sick again. grr! argh! I was actually starting to get healthier, but obviously my body has it in for me. *makes face* when i was bowling saturday night, i got a pretty bad headache, and it's just gotten worse since then. My voice acually got pretty bad yesterday, so much that by the time I went to sleep, I almost had no voice left. I woke up today sounding like I had a frog in my throat. blech.12/7/03- Ok, it's been about a year. I'm feelin pretty good, except for my "female friend" I have visiting. So, I'm a little bloated. Other than that, I'm feelin pretty good! :-)
1/14/04- things are still good with me. i think i've got a slight cold, but it's not too bad. just a lil bit of sniffling, and some cold chills every so often. all in all, not too shabby. ;-)4/19/06- doing good. new meds, make a total of... 4 pills to take in the morning, 1 at nite, 4 prescriptions total (morning pills: inderal l.a.- a migraine preventative, zrtec- for allergies, petadolex- otc to promote brain health, and a multi-vitamin; axert- for when i get migraines, and at nite: yasmin- oral contraceptive)
