BACK
Well now, who is this on the right??  It is me of course !!  Here I am in 1994 graduating with my B.A.
December 2001 - me (below) at a Christmas dinner
I have many interests, these include reading/writing poetry, reading autobiographies.  I have read Mother Theressa's, Princess Diana's, Cher, One called 'A Child Called It' (the most popular ones anyway), and Tina Turner. I love to swim and try to swim about a mile a day. I love painting with water colours (as you will see from my site here) and I give most of my paintings/pictures away either as presents or because someone likes it/them.   I like to sculpt with clay and I do admire past sculptor's works.  Other pastimes I like are walking in the country,  visiting places of interest (historical places, gardens/parks, places with monuments etc).  I do like to go to the theatre occasionally.

One of the ways I like to spend my time is gardening (growing my own vegetables, flowers); click
HERE to go to see pictures of my back garden. (I laid the patio by the way and did the stepping stones).  I am a non-smoker and I do not drink alcohol either.  Below are photographs of me (past and present).  I am a 'mad' Osmond fan, in case you hadn't already guessed from this site- LOL.

I have done training courses in Pastoral Counselling, Co-Counselling, and Alternatives to Violence Projects (Dispute resolution) and a Degree in Applied Social Studies.  Most of the jobs I have held in more recent years, have been in the 'caring' profession/s.  When I was a teenager, I worked with Downs Syndrome children and adults with learning difficulties. I enjoy working with people and trying to get them to make the most of their lives.  My last job was as an Advocate and was with adults who have 'learning difficulties' and I loved it.  It was very emotionally demanding but I enjoyed it very much. I come from a Secretarial background, which makes typing quicker for me!!
I am mother to two children.  One of my angels is in heaven and one is going to be a mummy herself this year (in April), so I shall soon be a grand-mother. I am looking forward to it very much; I believe every gift of life IS a gift.  Kyle would have been nearly 2 years old now and I miss him terribly still.  He was still-born at 28 weeks gestation on 18th April 2000, with Patau's syndrome. I carried him for 6 weeks knowing he was going to die, it is not something I would wish on anyone to have to go through.

My 'earth angel' is now 20 years old.  We are close and I love her to pieces.  She is happily settled with her partner, who is a 'sweet' young man.
