Born in 1956 at the newly organized Egyptian Agricultural Organization(lately the Royal Agricultural Society), *MORAFIC was a son of NAZEER who was highly prized by EAO officials.  In his early years, *MORAFIC made an attempt at the race track, but after  an injury to his neck, EAO officials pulled him from the track, making him a breeding stallion at  the EAO, where he became head sire.

In February of 1966, *MORAFIC was shown for the first time in Stallions Six-and-over.  He was placed 2nd in a class of 27 other stallions.  In June of that same year, *MORAFIC was shown in a Park class in Oklahoma and was Champion Park Horse.  He was also Senior Champion Stallion (as well as Grand Champion Stallion) in Fort Worth, and at the Houston Livestock Show in 1967, he was awarded Most Classic and Champion Stallion.

IIn 1965, after several attempts to buy the wonderful grey horse, Mr. Doug Marshall of Gleannoch Farms in Texas finally managed to buy *MORAFIC from the EAO.  After importation, *MORAFIC was trained under saddle by Mr. Tom McNair.

*MORAFIC'S stud fee in 1965 upon arrival at Gleannoch was $1000.  The following year it was increased to $5000.  After that, his book was closed to outside mares. 

In 1969, *MORAFIC would be classified as a LIVING LEGEND.  He was also made SIRE OF SIGNIFICANCE by ARABIAN HORSE WORLD.

In 1974, during surgery for supposed colic, which turned out to be large blood clots, *MORAFIC died at the age of 18.  He had sired 151 purebred foals in the USA.  In Egypt, he was the sire of 58 purebred foals. *MORAFIC is the leading imported egyptian sire of national winners.
