Maggie Yen, CTM

Maggie Yen was born in Taipai, Taiwan. She attended school in Oklahoma, where she also met her husband Vini. She moved from Los Angeles to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1999. After several years as an Executive Recruiter, Maggie was promoted to Senior Director for A.T. Kearney, a management and executive search firm. Her favorite hobbies are reading, music, art, painting, fashion design, and interior design. Maggie describes herself as "energetic, pleasant, positive". She considers speaking fluently in another language and making a living as her two biggest achievements.

Maggie joined CH@Home Toastmasters in May 2001 in order to become an "excellent communicator, speaker, and leader". She earned her CTM in December 2001 at CH@Home's first "Evening of Inspiration" with her inspirational speech "You Are More Than What You Are and You Will Be". During her term as VP PR, she published CH@Home's first newsletter. She also served as CH@Home's President. Maggie's favorite topics are professional and personal growth, driving, and pets, especially her cat Squeakers. She advises Toastmasters to "make time for yourself".
