There are natural wonders such as huge inland lakes, clean streams, and gently sloped pastures to vast pine forests, peaked mountains, the enormous Snowy Mountains Scheme, one of the great engineering wonders of the modern world and the many attractions of the Kosciuszko National Park.
Summer streams are cool and clean. Rivers and dams provide trout and native fish. Swimming, canoeing or rafting on the lakes or water skiing, windsurfing, sailing and recreational boating are provided for. You can also retrace the steps of the European explorers along the Hume and Hovel walking track. |
