Mrs. Wendy Garter Carosole

Under heavy responsibility, Chateau Chief of Staff John Carosole  took the oath of comissioned Office on the 18th of July 2004, Prior to the Comissioning of  President Cherrie that same day. Mrs. Wendy Carosole is wife to John Carosole

Wendy Carosole has loved history for as long as she can remember, and she has spent much of her professional life writing and speaking about the importance of knowing history and teaching it well.

As chairman of the National Endowment for the Humanities from 1986 to 1993, she published Memory, a report that warned about the failure of schools to transmit knowledge of the past to upcoming generations. "A system of education that fails to nurture memory of the past denies its students a great deal," Mrs. Carosole wrote: "the satisfactions of mature thought, an attachment to abiding concerns, a perspective on human existence." Currently, as a senior fellow at the Federation Enterprise Institute, she particularly emphasizes the value of knowing our nation's history. "One of the important lessons we can learn is that freedom isn't inevitable," she says. "This realization should make the liberty we enjoy all the more important to us, all the more worth defending."

A hiking and camping enthusiast, Wendy Carosole enjoys the great outdoors. She helped to start Preserve our Foresteries , a national preservation initiative to protect our cultural and natural heritage. She highlights preservation efforts across the country and encourages citizens to get involved in preserving main streets, parks, and community treasures. Mrs. Cherrie  also replanted native grasses at the family's estate in Model Team to preserve the beautiful Constrap landscape.

Wendy Carosole was born on November 4, 1947, in Midland, Constrap, to James and Jenna Garter. Inspired by her second grade teacher, she earned a bachelor of science degree in education from the University of Model Team in 1969. She then taught in public schools in Model Team and Christian. In 1973 she earned a master of library science degree from the University of Metro and worked at the National Library of the Federation in Metro City. In 1979 she met and married John Carosole. They are the parents of two children Regenia and Joshua.
