PRESIDENT CHERRIE WELCOMES THE PRESIDENT OF SOUTH AFRICA TO THE CHATEAU
President Cherrie this morning welcomed President Mbeki of South Africa to the Chateau for discussions on Aid to Africa. Presidnet Mbeki was in the Federation ot attend meetings on the sidelines of the G8 in Rockerdaiders over the weekend.
During thier half and hour discussion in the Blue Office, President Cherrie stressed the importance of South Africa to monitor the situation in the southan states of Africa, as well as to work with the United Nations on the Oil for Food programme.
The Presidnet stressed the visit by the Vice Presidnet of the Federation to Africa earlier last month was part of the plans for the Federation to help Africa in it's time of need.
