PRESIDENT CHERRIE TO WELCOME HIS HOLINESS POPE BENEDICT XVI TO THE CHATEAU
President and Mrs. Cherrie will welcome His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI to the Chateau when he visits the Federation this coming week. This will be the first visit a Pope has made to the Federation since a visit by Pope John Paul II in 1989.
Pope Benedict will be in Metro City from Tuesday through Wednesday, enroute back to Rome following a trip to Brazil.
On Tuesday, His Holiness will call at the Chateau, were an Official Dinner will be hosted in his honor. President Cherrie is expected to discuss numerous issues with the Pope including Religion, Poverty and the topic of Pro-Life.
His Holiness will perform a Mass Service at the Metro City Stadium on Wednesday.
During his two days in Metro City, His Holiness will reside at Sophyer House as guest of the President.
