PRESIDENT CHERRIE TO ATTEND 2007 G8 SUMMIT
President Cherrie will attend the 2007 Group of Eight Summit in Heiligendamm, Germany, from the 8th - 10th of June 2007. During his time there, the President will meet with host Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany, as well as Prime Minister Putin of Russia, Prime Minsiter Harper of Canada, and Preisdent Bush of the United States.
Following the Heiligendamm summit, Prsident Cherrie will travel on to Las Palmas, Gran Canaria on the Spainish Canary Islands for the 2007 LEGO - EU Summit, from 9 - 10th of June.
Following that, President Cherrie will make his first visit to Africa as President, visiting Lagos, Nigeria from the 11th - 12th of June, then Gaborone, Botswana from the 12th - 14th June, and finally Prectoria, South Africa, from the 14th - 15th of June. The President returns to the Federation on the 15th of June.
Accompanying the Preisdent will be Mrs. Cherrie, and the Secretary of State James Morrison.
