| The North Lawn The Chateau 12.55 PM WST THE PRESIDENT: Good afternoon, I would like to just say a few words on the Election Results just in, and I want to congradulate the Houster Party, and Speaker James Barker, who I suppose will continue as capacity as Speaker of Congress, and I want to congradulate them on retaining the lower Congress and gaining the Upper congress as well. This is of course a dissapointment for my party, and I as President and the leader of the Senet Party do express my dissapointment, but I do not see this as a sign of weakness, but as a sign of our fledging and the workings of our democracy. Essentially, there is no change. There will be no change in the way I run my administration. We will continue, but we will work together with a Houster controlled State Hall. I look forward to reconcilation when I personally close congress for the end of the year, and the third Quater of 2006/2007, next Friday. This is a milestone in our administration, and next year, I look forward to gaining back as many of the Lower Congress seats, and then in 2009, when State Hall will be up for election in November, for 2010, I look forward for the Sent Party's chance to gain back State Hall, and of course this Presidency. (Laughter) So we will work together, and we wil suceed. The People have spoken, and I appreciate that. Thanyou all. END |
