| The South Lawn The Chateau 10.05 AM WST THE PRESIDENT: Your Majesty, Your Royal Highness, members of the British Delegation, Linda and I extend our deepest and warmest welcome to the Chateau. The endurng friendship of the United Kingdom and the Federation is exemplfied by you all being here today. The United Kingdom as been a friend of the Federation as histroy has it. Our two nations have endured together, through the trials of World War One ad World War Two, to the wars at the Falkland Islands, and today, our friendship has stood the test of time. Your Majesty, we appreciate you taking the time to be here. Linda and I fodly remember the last time you hosted us at Buckingham Palace, in 2004. We really enjoyed our stay there. Thankyou for that. The British Monarchy has been a stabalising force in the United Kingdom. They are a great institution to look up to, to support and to give a guiding light to all Britions. The Federation has had an interesting and strong friendship with the British Monarchy. We of course had fought wars int he past, (Laugther) but this friendship has stood the test of time. Once again, I welcome you to the Federation. (Applause) HM QUEEN ELIZABETH II: Mr. President, Mrs. Cherrie, I am deeply honored to be here today. Indeed we have felt very very welcomed both here in Metro City, and also earlier this week in Lento, Berland. Yesterday I had the privilage to address the Federal State Hall. Thankyou for that honor. And I am now back here, since the last time I visited in 2002. A real honor indeed. Thankyou Mr. President. |
