THE PRESIDENT: Good morning and Linda, and I, welcome you to the Chateau. As we enjoy Spring, on these beautiful grounds, someone out there is being shot at with a firearm this very moment. Today we are here, standing united as citizens of this nation to say that enough is enough. We had enough with violance, we had enough with the negivites of the Federation's slack gun laws. (Applause)

Just one week ago, we witness the worst shooting massacare in the history of the modern Federation. I am appalled at how relaxed the gun laws are in Houster controlled Bristone. I fear for Berland, South Lego Desert, Greenland, and so many other Federation territories that have such relaxed laws on the use and purchase of fire arms. We ought to be ashamed of ourselves, that we are unable to protect our children by banning guns totally, and ridding this dark part of our society.

How many deaths and injuries must we endure before our nation's territoral  elected officials act to end gun violence? We must ask our territorial leaders: "What are you going to do about it?" What are you going to do to make our schools, workplaces, and communities safe from gun violence?"

That's the question I poseted to State Hall on tuesday, 17th April 2007. I asked them to come back to me, with a vote in Congress by Friday 20th April. The Speaker denied this right and has pushed the voting off the sheet as a 'walk over'. We disucssed on Friday - me and the Speaker, aboard Lego One on the way to Montocanto. I asked him how we could sit back and do nothing, and the reply was that Housters see it as we need more guns - that if the students had guns in the rooms, they could defend themselves. I am simply astonished by this statement made by the Houster party. (Applause)

Therefore, with the power in me as President, I will veto this off sheet and make it on sheet. (Applause) State Hall will be forced to vote this friday on this issue. I will require from them a full report as to how we can take action against perpertrators of gun laws but more importantly how we can ban guns totally. (Applause)

I challenge them to see the consequences of their actions if they refuese to do so.(Applause) My administration has been and is now is working nonstop to get the message out that there are solutions to gun violence.
We can ban military-style assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition clips that make it so easy to kill quickly . . . we can require full rehauled psychological  background checks for all gun sales, including at gun shows . (Applause)

We can stop large-volume gun sales that supply illegal gun traffickers. These are just some of the steps we can take to make it harder for the wrong people to get guns. (Applause)

We are building a crescendo of public outcry to ensure that action is taken. We are aggressively rallying support among allies for our solutions. And we need the supportof State Hall to make it happen. I can understand the reluctance to act because of the money involved. I cna understand why when election year rolls around everyone, includig myself, avoids these questions about guns. But now we have seen these consequences, and I challenge State Hall to just sit back and relax. (Applause) Then, who will be responsible?

Gun violence is a solvable problem. We know it wont be easy. But we can make it harder for the wrong people to get their hands on guns through strong gun laws.

Therefore, it is not what I would like to do but have to do, in the face of a Congress so unwilling to act on this, I hereby sign resolution 346 enacting the Presidential Veto, that State Hall shall debate this issue and pass an immediate ultimatum on 27 April 2007. (Applause)

I look forward to your support, Congress. Let us work together to make this country a better place, to rid it of the negitives of guns. Would the Anti-Gun Lobby group please join me for the signing. (Applause)
