| The South Lawn The Chateau 10.10 AM WST THE PRESIDENT: Good Morning and welcome to the Chateau. Linda and I are very happy to have all of you here today. Today, we celebrate the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, the day He triumphed over death. I am very happy to be able to be here today to kick start the festivities on the South lawn. In fact, this is my first time doing it. (Applause) I remember coming to see the egg roll in 2005, but I dont think I remember kicking start the events. I know Vice President Carosole had lots of fun when he hosted the Egg Roll last year, I was in Mexico then for a visit. So, by a show of hands, how many of you kids are having fun? That's great. Yes, all of you rolling eggs across the lawn - coloured very beautiful eggs. It's my job to make sure you all have fun. (laugther)And drink lots of water if you are running around too much, and dont hurt any of the bunnies. (Laugther) I just want to thank the staff of the Kitchen, of the Chateau Kitchen led by Chef, um, Pastry Chef Derek Jensen, for preparing over 5000 decorated eggs for you guys today. (Appluse). Thankyou Derek. Easter is a time of birth, when we enjoy the beauty of spring, and we certainly hope you enjoy the beautiful spring plantings on the grounds today. Most important of all, this is an occasion to pray for world peace, that as God sacrifuced his son out of love for humanity, let us also love one another, in our communites, in our families and as a country.
