| Press Secretary Marcus Loyld & NATO Special Envoy James Humbert The Chateau Press Briefing Room The Chateau 11.12AM WST THE PRESS SECRETARY: Good morning, and happy Saturday. Today's briefing is spacifically for this upcoming's week to NATO, and I think your questions should be related to that. I will give a break down of the schedule, and then I will let Mr. Humbert discuss the President's Agenda at NATO, and we will take questions. The President will travel with the Secretary of State, and Defense, and the Chief of Staff of defense to Riga, Latvia, which if you do not know is a new democracy in Eastern Europe. We leave tomorrow night and arrive in Latvia on Monday, 27th of November in the morning. There will be a gaggle most likely aboard Lego One. Now, once we arrive in Riga, the Preisdent wll paticipate in a welcome Ceremony with the Preisdent of Latvia, at the Airport. After that, he will visit the Presidential Official Residence for talks with the Preisdent of Latvia. He will visit afterwhich to the Lego Embassy for Lunch with the Lego Ambassador to Latvia, and then meet with the Lego Ambassador at large to NATO. He will then paticipate in a visit to a cultural Museum, and then back to the Presidential Palace or residence for a dinner. On the 28th, the President will begin by meeting the Secretary General of NATO, followed by meeting the defence ministers of NATO nations. The President will then paticipate in a round table discussions with NATO heads of state. In the evening, the Preisdent will attend a performace at the Latvia National Opera, followed by a working dinner with NATO Heads of State. On the 29th, Wednesday, the Preisdent will meet with Preisdent Karzai of Afghanistan, and then with Preisdnet Maliki of Iraq. This will be an important meeting as it will be the first meeting between President Maliki and President Cherrie. After that there will be a Heads of State Photo Op. He wll then meet with Chancellor Merkel of Germany for lunch followed by Prime Minister Harper of Canada, and then the Second Plenary session of the Heads of State. Following that the President will hold a Press Conference with the Secretary General of NATO, and then in the late Afternoon depart for Metro. We will arrive late wednesday night in Metro city.
