Greece March2006

      Now in Czech Republic, I�m in Prague the capitol. It is still very cold here. Bought some heavy sweaters. Have a room at Hotel Prague. Has restaurant, cafe, sauna barber shop, everything I need. A nice Pub which will check later. Cost 90 Euros, Im on the 11th floor and a view of everything. Nice patio, which is enclosed. Will be here for 2 days. Breakfast is free. They gave me wine, cheese, salami, and bread in the room.

      At one time the Chech Republic was Czechoslovia, but in 1993 split so Solovakia was formed.. Czech Republic is about the size of New York. Czech Republic is divided by regions Hlavn Mesto Praja, Jihomoravsky, Krai, Jihocesky, Vysocino, Karlovarsky, Kravovehradskoslezsky,Pardubicky,Olomoucky,Moravskoslezsky, Pardubicky, Plzensky, and many more. Rented a car and have gone through Liberec, Jicin, over Mt. Snezka. Spent the night in Hradic/Kralove looking over the Labe River. Room was 60 Euros. Supper was garlic onion fish, Baked fish, great salad, desert was Mokove Kalac Tarte with ice cream. Beer was Becherovka.

      The Czech people use alot of sugar, in gravies, cereals and alot that other countries do not use that much. Had a excellent nights sleep, breakfast which is free was Ham eggs potatoes plenty of coffee. Czechs eat alot of potatoes which made me happy. Left Prague to see country In Karlovy, Klasterc, nad ohri, with a beautiful chateau. Built in the 16th century Visited Macha Lake went for a boat ride, very nice. In Moravia seen Vranov nad Dyji chateau, the Lednice Valtic cheateau.

      At the town of Olomouc seen the columns of the Holy Trinity, Monastery Hadiska. At the town of Hradee Kralove beautiful Litomysl chateau. Im lucky to be allowed inside. Czech Republic is surrounded by Slovakia, Austria, Germany and Poland. In along German border vewed Prachovske Rocks,Kost Castle(12th) century 40 Euros to visit in side. Alot of castles Trasky, Vranon and Valecov. With enough castles to visit, Im amazed they still here. Found a nice restaurant and Im starved. Had great potato soup, Baken chicken, great salad, stuffed Bell Peppers with chicken stuffed. Of course potatoes. Had some Staropromen a very nice beer. Im staying here at Hotel Janachek for 60 Euros over looking yjhe Lobe River which flows into the Danube River. Im in the town ocf Kralove.

      Have been in the Bohemian Forest with the guide, visited Horazdovice a Catholic church. So being Sunday went to mass. Now over to Karlovy Vary. Have visited alot Chateaus. Czech Republic from all me travels have more Chateaus than any other place.

      Been East-West-South-and North. Bohemia is the largest of the regions. Took drive to Giant Mountains. Stopped in Jicin and could see the mountains with snow. Found a nice Hotel Centre. Im booked for 3 nights. Breakfast included over looking the Vitava. Western part of Czech is called Bohemia, eastern part called Moravia.

      Well tomorrow I leave for Ireland. So me supper was Fresh fish, and potato, excellent stuff eggs, potatoes, desert was Vanilla and chocolate cake, with Vina Vino wine. Had a grand tae as I sat outside.

      Well off to Ireland- Im stuffed and need a Guiness.
