FRANCE

            Have landed in Nice, France got a lovely room over looking Mediterranean Sea, being off-season. Stay here so we can go to the Basque country. Had Bacon, Spinach Salad, Beef Burgundy, bread, pea soup, Potatoes, French Chocolate Cake with Strawberries, and a bottle of Pinot Noir, coffee.


            Started morning with French toast, toast jam eggs bacon and juice. On our way to Cannes, Arles, Toulouse, Lourdes, stopped for lunch of a fish sandwich, and milk. Visited grave of St. Bernadette of Lourdes, the infirmary where she died, and the Basilica Lourdes.


            Now over to the Pyrenees, where the Basque are. Went to a nice resturant, food is traditional, both French and Spanish, with a glass of Basque wine called Txakolic red, sat at long table, with Basque and others. Bowls of seafood passed around. Then plenty of lamb chops and bread, and vegetables. Excellent listen to the music so colorful. After paying for our food and the conservation, we headed out.


Bordeaux

            Visited Navarrese Castle, the alter the countryside. Drove to Bordeaux for the night. Stayed at Saint Catherine Bordeaux is a 19th century Hotel, some river here not sure.


            Up early seen the Garonne River from our room Breakfast of cereal eggs bacon, fresh fruit, juice and coffee. Will criss cross France. Traveled through Sarfat. La Camedon, Grenable, Lyon, Genova, Bouges, Tours, Nantas, Chateau de Chambord, which is a 18th century Castle.


            Granddaughter was very happy. People here extremely nice. Supper of duck, potatoes, salad, bread, plenty wine by a roaring fire. After some coffee. Off to Trayer, Nancy Saint Malo, Brest, Rennes, Mald.


PARIS

            To Paris for short time Paris is expensive and big. Stayed at Hotel Eiffel Park, walking distance to the Eiffel Tower. Supper of Veal, veggies, bread, white beans, baked potatoes, and a Chocolate mousse. Bottle of Chassagne Montradchet did the trick.


            Up for breakfast of cereal, waffles and honey bacon coffee and juice. Out and visited Eiffel Tower, Moulin Rouge, Au De Friomphe, The River Seine, Place Charles De Gaulle, Fountain. Just to many places to see could spend days here. Bonaparte is buried here in Paris.


            Went to outside restaurant for lunch of seafood, bread salad, and house wine. Rooms not expensive depends what part you are in. We had a nice location. Today will fly to Corsica.
