Here in Bulgaria through Smoyan, over Rodopl Mtns. to Haskovo, Sliver and to Uarne, Nice room at Hotel Modus, very reasonable. With a nice seafood supper and in the Black Sea, very cold. Back to room, some snow here. Walked around the city, stopped for a roast beef sandwich and wine. Back to hotel.

            Breakfast of eggs, yogurt, bacon, toast jam and coffee. Now we headed and gone through Shumen, Velik, Koprivshlitor to Sofia. Bulgaria rule by Germans and then Russian for many years .Two mountains ranges, Uanike and Maritsa are rivers in Bulgaria.

            Arrived in Sofia after going through some small towns. Sofia is the capitol of Bulgaria. We will stay at Hotel Kempinski. We can see down town from our room. Have a guide to help us. Seen Ampi Theater Plovdiv, Sofia College, Cathedral, Ivan Uazov Theater, Presidential Palace.

            After a long day sat out side with a cold drink. Then walked around shopping areas. Supper of mixed salad, Stuffed bell peppers, egg plant dip. Wine was Zlantnce Esen, dessert was Banana Cake with raspberries.

            Off again To Macedonia to Skopie. Hotel Vilaoni, nice place. Breakfast is free. Out to see the sights. Visited Capitol church, Mother Theresa monument, Skopies Fortress, Stone Bridge, traveled through Strunice, Kavaduric, Krusevo to Skopje. Had trout, Black Beans salad and Beer. Sat outside and watched the people.

            Having covered Macedonia we headed for Albania. Traveled through Pograde, Korce, Carovoda, Bailsh and Fleur toTirana, the Capitol, to Hotel Tirana Our terrace over looks the city. Lunch of Meatballs with clams, bread and Beer.

            Off to see the city. Tirana is on the river Isham. Have seen bunkers of the wars on the way. Streets very narrow. Statue of Skanderbory, very small towns, Castle Grounds, having seen so much.

            Back to hotel for supper of Cabbage and Beans, Chicken, potatoes, salads, bread and house wine. Dessert of ice cream and cookies. Back to Hotel to fly to Hungary.

            Here in Budapest Hotel Art'otel, Our room over looks the Blue Danube. The Hotel is an 18th century palace. Good meal of Pork chops, Barley Soup, cucumber salad, Bottle of Takai wine.

            Up early to see Hungry. Breakfast was egg omelet with ham bacon, juice, and coffee. Off to see the sights. Have crossed the Danube Eger over Taza Rivers to Mezatur. For lunch a Ham Sandwich and a Traube soft drink.

            Back to hotel for glass of Bulls Blood wine, (very red) Called Claret. Sat outside watching people. They never hurry. Sitting outside a couple came buy noticed our Irish shirts, they live here, invited us to a restaurant for food music and dancing.
