Poland

Well left Florence, flying over Austria and Czech Republic. Landed at Warsaw Airport, bit chilly but ok. Got a bus to Krakow, went to mass at Pope John's church.

Then got hold of some people I met before and I do EMail with them. They live in called Nowy. We all went to local resturant called Osteria da alberto. Its a local place, had veggies, seafood. They are stuffed veggies, marinated seafood, plenty seafood, potatoes. Excellent chocolate pie. we all chipped in cost under 10 Euros, plenty of wine and local music.

All the farms having hard times. I did leave some money for everything they did, showing me everything, their farm animals, we chatted about their countries. Told them about Ireland, so was a lovely time.

Well have arrived in Torino, I stayed at the Hotel Amadeus E Teatro down town. Torino is sometimes called Turin. Torino and parts of Northern Italy were once controlled by Austria, until after WWI.

From me room could see the Alps and other mountains. For food one can have either Italian or Austrian food. Supper was Lobster, green chili bisque toasted relish, Pear Tart and carrot cake, plenty varities of Salads.

History of Torino dates way back. Torino means mountains. or "Little Bull" which is their coat of arms.
