Malta   

      We visited Bishops Palace was a castle a long time before France Invaded. Population of all of Maltese Islands is less than 500,000 and only about 124 square miles.

      The young Lady and I sat on a balcony having some Ghirghentina white wine very light, smooth. Over looking the harbor. She told me of the problems of Zinc and Lead in their systems and a lot of medical problems.

      She took me to the Queen Victoria Band, plenty of fireworks, celebrating Our Lady of Mount Carmel, very lovely statue. Most people are Catholics.

      Today ferry to Gozo the other big Island. Victoria is the Capitol. Me room is the San Andrea. I always take rooms on upper floors to see the scenery. About 75F or 23C I think. Im contented. Other Island is Comino. Lovely view of xlendic Bay.

      As usual Hotel has everything you need, pub, resturants so forth. Had some Kinnie, the orange drink. Supper was Beef Barley Soup, salad, Tal Lampuki Dorado(Fish) Fried Potatoes, some excellent wine(Gellewza. Dessert was Bread Pudding (Pirdino Tal Hobs) The Hotel furnishes all soft drinks.

      Visited Gigantija Temple, The Blue Lagoon and the Comina Island. At Ramla Bay(Red Sand Beach), went to local feast, which is a Catholic Procession. More fireworks, marching bands, and plenty food, both Maltese and Italian. This is a Mediterranean Crusine. Weather been grand.

      Gozos Citadil in Vistoria(Gozo) called Robul. Malta is over 5000 years old. Having been invaded by British, Germans, French, Italians, Romans, Greeks, Turks and others. With is this rented car seen cities of zebbug, Marsalform, so many small towns to visited. But I tried. Well have taken ferry back through South Comino Channel to Cirknwwa and back in Malta.

      Malta became a Republic in 1974. Largest gun ever made was 100 Tons dated back to 1884.I'm at Dragonara Hotel grand view of Mediterranean within walking distance. Went swimming and felt grand. Supper was Kuski soup, fresh broad beans, Lampuka(mahi-mahi) fish few large bones, pan fried in Olive Oil, tomatoes, desert Kannoli deep fried fruit pastry. Had Ricotla and pieces of chocolate.

      Cruise around Islands with wine cheeses, went to 17th Century wine cellar, same of old wines was grand. Last night here, supper was a giant spread here at the hotel. Fillet of Soup, Salad Fish Soup stuffed sword fish date bread and date ice cream.

      Well British Airways got me to Dublin, I spent 2 days here and need to go to me home. I had a grand time, learned a lot of history, their food, languages, and customs.
