The Bash
Day 2
I awoke on Saturday at 7AM after a fitful sleep. The problem was it was very quiet at Dianes house. I am used to the noise of the city and the rural quiet keeps me from sound sleep. After Chuck got up and dressed he made coffee and we left for Sogipo's house. Upon arriving I was immdiately put to work making pancakes for everybody while Sogipo made sausages. We had a very nice breakfast with Marge, her boyfriend, Chuck, Sogipo and I.
After breakfast I called trude and Chuck, Sogipo, and Marge all spoke to her. I believe they enjoyed speaking to her as she did hearing from some other chatters besides me. Even now when I talk to her she still mentions that phone call. After that I went and put on my speedo and Chuck took some pictures of me and the others which appear in the newsletter. Later that morning Marge and her boyfriend left because they had to be in Oshkosh for an air show. That left just us 3 together. It was decided that we would take a train ride and when her son showed up he drove us to the place.
We bought our tickets and off we went. When we got to the end of the line there was a small petting zoo, a logging museum and a blacksmith shop. After a couple of hours we boarded the train and returned to where we started and her son drove us home. The ride there and back was kinda long (45 minutes each way) but the scenery was very interesting.
After supper we sat around and talked for awhile until it was time to go into the chat room. We spent an enjoyable time taking turns talking to the chatters. Her machine however is very slow because she has very little RAM. I suggested that she gets 1 of her sons to take the computer and have it upgraded to more RAM which will make it work faster. When we signed off of chat we just talked some more and soon it was time to go. Chuck drove us back to Dianes house and we got ready to go to bed. That was the end of day 2 of the bash.
In the next episode we will find out how the Shadow knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men. Also we will explore the age old question of what came first the chicken or the egg and does anybody really care.
