"A Tsunami"
Tsunami 's such a simple word
and it is Japanese I've heard.
It means a tidal wave as such,
till now it wasn't much to us.
An earthquake far out in the ocean
You'd think, would not
cause much commotion.
Until I turn on my T.V.
and devastation's all I see.
Oh God! where is humanity?.
The Earth we love just lost it's senses
and now we see the consequences;
Tectonic plates have moved we're told
now there's this carnage we behold.
It's happened to the human race
and now disease will take it's place.
We stand aghast and then ask: Why?
did so many have to die.
Are there portents in the sky
and is Apocalypse now nigh.
These thoughts don't help
the one who grieves
so now we must roll up our sleeves.
and help in any way we can
to save the brotherhood of man.
God works in most mysterious waves
His wonders to perform.
If we are true we will pull through
to face another dawn.
