"Lead kindly light"
I have a night light in my room
and it helps dispel the gloom.
It's as long as my right palm
and it helps avoiding harm,
I keep it close down on the floor
so I'm not tripping anymore.
And when the shadows come at night
it automatically gives light,
then when the sun comes through the door,
it straight away turns off once more,
A Diabetic always knows
he must be careful with his toes
so if i rise at dead of night
I can say I've "Seen the light".
Then when I'm walking back to bed
I know exactly what's ahead
and so I find it's gentle glow
stops me damaging my toe.
It's a marvel to behold
and I think worth it's weight in gold.
