| Oh Sleepless Night (by Rick Martinez 10/28/03) |

| Oh sleepless night, oh sleepless night, Why has my slumber, taken flight? My night of rest, has been replaced, There's dirty diapers, in its place. A grown adult, mature and wise, mani-pulated, by your cries. Who could imagine, I'd be pushed around, By a short little person, weighing 10 pounds. Does the constitution, of this great nation, protect me against, sleep deprivation? I give you my sleep, my love and affection, but you want it all, my every attention. I'll sneak a nap, though my commute's a hop, then exercise, 'cause I missed my stop. I prayed for sleep, and you didn't cry, but instead of rest, I worried why. Oh sleepless night, oh sleepless night, Why has my sleep, taken flight? All things considered, tried and true, I'd gladly sleep, but for my love of you. |
