All the magazines you'll ever pick up in the store (with the exception of Mother Earth News and National Geographic), extoll the virtues of the rich and show pictures of houses and gardens that few of us will ever afford on this side of Heaven.
That doesn't mean that the homes we DO have should go forgotten and unloved. I feel very strongly that people must now look at what we have and where we are, make the best of those things and improve on it. Taking pride in your home, whatever condition it's in, will only make it better. Focus your energies and money into a little fix up here and there, and you'll surprise even yourself at how much more you enjoy being there!
