Frances Lucy Merryman, was born December 26, 1929 at Hillsboro, West Virginia to the late Clark L. and Mary Blanche (Scott) Long and departed this life July 23, 2000 at Phelps County Regional Medical Center, Rolla, MO at age 70.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Edgar Springs, MO. She was preceded in death by her brother, Sidney Long; two sisters: Deloris Long and Ethel Brock; her husband, Preston Merryman. She is survived by her children: Fran Chastain of Edgar Springs, MO; Alan Merryman of Huntsville, AL; Richard Merryman of Sheridan, OR; one sister, Mary Charlmers of Folsom, NJ; four brothers: Ernest Long of Beckley, WV; Samuel Long of Pinehill, NJ; Robert Long of Gilmer, TX; Richard Long of Malakoff, TX. Also 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Memorial Services were held July 27, 2000, 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Edgar Springs with Rev. Harry Foley officiating. Cremains will be interred at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro, WV.
