Drifter
By: Josh Mohatt

Surrounded by the greatest fear of man in utter tranquility,

On this moonless night I wonder in and out of reality.

In search of knowing through this empty field,

Void of the restraints of reality and mortality. For this night I am immortal,

The illusions of time do not exist in this world of darkness.

The beaten path is quiet, and soft to walk on. To stay on this road, leading to a gateway to an unfamiliar world.

The fear I seek to confront is beyond this gate,

And I know I must cross it.

For better to be destroyed in battle against the answers to questions

Unknown,

Then to be destroyed by the security on my home, my bed, unknowing.

For this night I am immortal!

Armed with the sword of determination.

Into the mist of night I go with naught but the stars to guide me.
