On the day of the flowers, which is a unique holiday in Guanajuato, Señoritas get dressed up and go to El Centro where their boyfriends buy them flowers sold in dozens of stands set up for this day. Children have a great time bopping each other over the head with "ice cream" cones made from empty egg shells and paper and filled with fine confetti.
