of Montemayor, the Old, daughter of King Alfonso of Portugal, was
born in the year 1157 and drowned off of Flanders in 1218. What she
was doing in Flanders, or for that matter, swimming off the coast at
the age of 61 is anybody's guess.
This piece of information is only valuable to show what you can
find on the internet if you punch in something as improbable as
"Montemayor" and "king", 'cause, out popped the princess.
