WILLIAM F. LUKE DIES AT 40; WAS REAL ESTATE APPRAISER

William F. Luke 40 of 8 Homestead Drive, Latham died Friday at the Albany Medical Center Hospital after a long illness. Hew was a lifelong resident of Latham and was educated in Latham schools and graduated from Vincentian Institute in Albany. He had formerly owned and operated Luke's Service Station and Luke's Disposal Service. For the past five years he had been a real estate appraiser for the Home Savings Bank in Albany. Mr. Luke was a communicant of Our Lady of Assumption Church in Latham and a member of the Holy Name Society. He also was a member of the Colonie Lodge of Elks. Latham Kiwanis Club, Latham Council of Knights of Columbus, Latham Bowling League and the Home Builders Association. Survivors are his wife the former Theresa M. Freije, two sons, William F. Jr. and Charles F. Luke of Latham his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Luke of Latham and two sisters, Mrs. James Cooley of Elnora and Mrs. Allen Knipe of Peekskill. The funeral will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Robert Fl Dufresne Funeral Home in Latham and at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Church. Burial will be in Memory's Garden.

Funeral Tuesday 9 a.m. from the Robert F. Dufresne Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham, thence to Our Lady of Assumption Church where a Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Sunday 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
