Joshua was born on January 12, 2002 with Recessive Dystrophic EB, subtype Hallopeau-Siemens (most severe form of DEB) via c-section. Within half an hour, doctors had diagnosed Josh with EB and then transferred him to a hospital in Sydney, Australia where an EB team of doctors were. By age one, it was confirmed Josh had RDEB-HS. He is a happy child who enjoys picking on his older brother (EB-Free) since he knows his brother won't pick on him back.
