| Chasing Amy are a 3 piece indie-rock/pop band from Scotland Edinburgh. They play their own original material and have a very promising future ahead of them - they are currently involved with "Borderline Records" and "Wandering Fish Management". Before Chasing Amy, there was "Sacred Silence" with Nikki Gibson on guitar, Iain MacDonald on Vocals and Alan Coulson on drums. "Sacred Silence" played their first ever gig at Firrhill High School at a "Sex, drugs and rock and roll" education night and the band played brilliantly, gained lots of support and showed up their rivals - reckless vision! After this gig Sacred Silence felt their act was missing something and they needed to get a bass player so they asked bassist Scott Morris to play with them. This band played together for ruffly a year recording material, playing a few gigs and practising hard untill summer '02 when they decided to take a break. A year later Nikki Gibson, Iain MacDonald and John Paget formed as the band they are now, Chasing Amy. They now still practise hard, have quite a few gigs planned but have no plans to record in the future due to lack of funds. We believe we have potential so if you would like to hear our demo we can send it to you and talk about sponsorship. Thanks, Chasing Amy |
