A SUMMERGREETING FROM FIA AND ONA
A SUMMERGREETING FROM FIA AND ONA

a
Hi again everyone!

Thanks for all the mails that we've got. I want to answer some of the questions that we have got. It's Ona that wants to begin today, she looks up and say - Fia has always been the first to start, so now I want to begin, and she smiles as beautiful she can. - I got rid of the tumor on my eye, and of course I'm very glad because of that! Fia is free for hd, but some of my other kids have this problem so because of that she's not going to have any puppies. Awhile ago it came a man on visit to us he thought we were weired. He should give us an injection, vaccination as he called it, and I laid down in my cuddleposition, that means that I very elegantly lay down little by little till I almost roll over on the other side, but of course I manage to keep the balance. Fia has tried the same over and over again, but she turns to me and look upset and says "mum, I just turn around, how do you keep yourself there?" Fia wigged with her tail and was very happy when she got the injection. Is everyone as clever as we are, I wonder? Ona is in her best self now.

The best I know is pancakes and porridge. Every time when I'm allowed to come inside the house and Fia is on her walk to get the mail, then I'm excited on what the are making at the place tht's called the kitchen. So I'm very eager to run inside fast as I can, sometimes I'm so lucky that my favoritefood is there, then I show myself from my best side, and I'm so lucky that I can get some tests as well. Sometimes I can get a bit to eager, especially when they come with goodies to us, or leftovers from the dinner out into the doggarden. I've seen much sticky sometimes when I've got both sauce and porrideg on my head. It's not that easy to wait until the food gets into the barrel I have to tell you!

Another thing ting that is something I like the best is to bath. It's not very often that I'm going on the walks, but the times when my mother is on visit it happens sometimes. One time when we walked a long long walk, it was many new smells and both Fia and I had to check out everything that we could. The difference on the two of us was then when we came back she was still white, but I had got a brown color. I had rolled round in the earth to get a special smell on my fur and I have to say I was lucky when I found a little muddy water to lay down in. Our owners didn't think that was very smart, especially not when I tried to get it off me. Why don't the like things like that?

It has become summer now, and then you are allowed to have it extra good I imagine. One time when we went down to get the mail my mother was with us, we were allowed to go down to the brook. Guess if I was cheering then , I jumped right out into the brook and run back and forth, over at the other side, and back again. Gjett om jeg jublet da, jeg plasket ut i bekken og lp fram og tilbake, over p andre siden, og tilbake igjen.

- I've never bathed before, says Fia, but mum had such a fun time, so then I thought I had to try as well. I smelled a little bit on the wet and smelled what it was, and gently took some steps into it, but how cold it was, br...., I couldn't understand what mum thougt was so funny about this, but I couldn't be worse thatn her, so I walked a little bit , and I came also on the other side, and when I should get back I was so clever that I jumped over, you understand I did this because I didn't wanted to be wet again? Our owners looked at us and said I was very clever, and then I wigged some extra with my tail. I haven't taken more baths yet, but we have been down to the brook a couple of times this summer. The owner to my mother wasn't very happy when I jumped up at her to tell how clever I had been. - I have exactly changed to a new pair of trousers, she said, but she wasn't of course angry at me because she understood that I just wanted to tell how proud I was. When we came up to the house, the mother had to come out to look at us, she laughed when she looked at Ona, and I was very satisfied when she said I had been clever!

-You'll come to loce to bath you also, said Ona, it's just something that you have to try little by little, and in awhild I'll think you'll fly in full speed and splash as well. She licks Fia and says "I think you was very clever as well"

Now Fia wants to take over the story awhile In the doggarden we have had a few projects, that is taking down branches from the tree that stands there, and digging deep holes. Our people have done much strange lately. They have also been digging in the earth, and been putting something down there. So funny that they've learned to do the same as us, but what I don't understand is why they suddenly had to dig again my big hole.- You could come under the fence, so that's why we do this, they said. I was offended then and as if that wasn't enough they had to dump a whole bunch of twigs and grass over the place to be sure that I wouldn't dig under there again, but I've found other places to dig, so then be it...

Next column

I don't like much when my owner is doing a lot of gardeningwork and I say that loud and clear while I make some noices, and it seems like that work because she often comes to me and pet me. Then I'm coming with my stick, and she throw it away so then both mum and I try to get it as fast as we can, once in awhile I win, sometimes mum, and sometimes we carry it together.

The people do many strange things that I can't understand. On a day which is called May 17th,( Norways national day) suddenly it was a lot of sticks with small clothingpieces on in red, white and blue. A flag is it called. Why had they hung it so high up, I tried several times to get them down, but I'm not a high jumper either. I went from flag to flag, and looked up on them, maybe I could mange it, but noway it didn't work so then I rather wanted to go to my tree and chew on some of the branches.

Something that I have liked with the gardeningwork was that one day we got a huge branch, it was at least 2 meters long, that will say that it's very big and a lot bigger than me. I had some problems while I tried to carry it, but then mum and I found out that we should start to chew of some of the twigs. It tasted rather good as well, and we managed to cleanse it very much, so after awhile it became white. We are very clever right, I have to say that! We managed also to get the branch down to a size that was capable to handle. After a few days we got another branch and then we of course knew what to do so it was easier to handle that one. Now it has started to come flowers on our tree and it smells wonderful. It's called lilac and it's lilac flowers. I've also taken some twigs there as well.

It has been hot some days, and our owners have comed with a water-snake and soaked our metallicroof and a bit on the ground so it shouldn't be so hot to lay there, but I didn't like that much, and both mum and I went under the roof while they were doing that. Mum likes to bath, but she have to decide herself, she will not be soaked down. It's a bit of difference there, you see.

Another thing I don't understand is why we are not allowed to do the same things as our owners. On a strip they hang up clothes, and sometimes I've managed to jump up and drag it with me, and they don't like that much, but themselves they take down the clothes again, so why shouldn't I do the same? It's so many things like that which we are not allowd to do, and I can't understand why there should be a difference there, I only wanted to help.

As I've said we have it very good these days with so many new projects, and of course it's the ordinary things like walking down to get the mail, pettingtimes and all the other things that make life worth living. I want to wish you all a very good summen, and you will hear from us one time or another. Now I'm going to catch some sun, so you have a good time in the meantime.
