Here you'll
find all the little Elio De Angelis bits and pieces that I can't file
under any of the site's categories. The bulk of the items shown here are
newspaper cuttings, Ebay listings and fan submissions. Enjoy!
Interesting
photograph this! Certainly looks as though something is being
celebrated between Colin, Elio and Bernie...but what we will never
know! (Note the Imola circuit cake)
Elio
meets Indycar star Willy T. Ribbs during tyre testing at Estoril in
January 1986. Ribbs was invited by Brabham to take part in the tests
along with Elio and the rest of the F1 fraternity.
An
Elio de Angelis Euronote! Should be standard currency as far as I am
concerned, at least this would make up for the disgrace of there not being
any current F1 track corner named in Elio's memory.

John Player Team Lotus Card from Elio with personal greeting

An
autographed picture from the 1982 season
Elio
enjoys himself in the company of some top pit-babes. Anyone know the
story behind this photoshoot? NEW!
This was an
article taken from Motoring News in 1989, and sent to me courtesy of David Hopkins. It
describes one photographers very close encounter with Elio during the 1984
Monaco Grand Prix. Cheers David!
During
the 1985 Grand Prix of Germany at the 'neue' Nurburgring, Ute (Elio's
Fiancee) was invited to take part in a Drivers Wives and Girlfriends Kart
race. Ute (sporting the number 3) didn't let Elio down and
brought the kart home in the points
with a second place finish.
Ute
again, this time watching over Elio during the 1985 Grand Prix of Austria. She had some
cause for concern, as the night before Elio had eaten some inedible
Mushrooms and was feeling less than well!
Elio
describes how it feels to be an non-Italian Ferrari driver driving at San
Marino in 1982. In 1985 he scored the final victory of his career
after Alain Prost was disqualified after his McLaren was found to be under
the minimum required after-race weight.
A
rather ironic extract from an Official JPS Press Release in 1982, with
which Elio describes a lap of the Paul Ricard circuit. He also
expresses his concerns over the then current speeds and construction of F1
cars.
